Katie's Curtains

I am constantly drawn to high key values; strong natural light and deep shadows in the landscape, especially during dramatic, transitional moments of the day and seasons of the year. One bright summer day I went out to my clothesline to fetch my daughter’s curtains drying on a clothesline. The wind kept lifting them back and forth. Repetition and movement made a captivating composition.
